Orhun Exchange Program 2022-2023 Academic Year Fall-Spring Semester Applications Have Started

For the Fall-Spring Semesters of the 2022-2023 Academic Year, the names of the universities that are members of the Organization of Turkic States and that have signed the Orhun Exchange Program Protocol with our University are listed below. Our undergraduate students and faculty members who want to study at these universities should prepare the application documents specified in the announcement and submit them to the International Relations Office of our University by the end of the working day on June 13, 2022.

Application Schedule:

Receiving Applications: 26 May 2022 - 13 June 2022

Evaluation of Applications: 13 June 2022 - 20 June 2022

Announcement of Results: 30 June 2022

 

The documents must be filled in on a computer and handed over to the Orhun Exchange Program officer of the Education and International Relations Coordination Office by the end of the working day on June 13, 2022.

STUDENT APPLICATIONS

Key Information

  • Being a registered student of our university's formal education program (Preparatory, first-year and final-year students of students attending the formal education program cannot apply to the exchange program),
  • Having a general academic grade point average of at least two and a half (2.5) out of four,
  • Students studying in another country as international students cannot benefit from exchanges in accordance with the protocol made between the university they are enrolled in and the universities in their own country.
  • The student exchange period covers at least one and at most two semesters. (For applications with the last date of 13 June 2022, only 2022/2023 fall and spring semester applications will be made.)
  • Students who will apply should check the web address of the university they want to apply for, whether their department/program is included in the university they want to apply for.
  • Students participating in the exchange cannot freeze their registrations.
  • During the time they are Orhun Exchange Program students, students register to their own higher education institutions and pay the contribution/tuition fee they are obliged to pay to their own institutions. They do not pay additional tuition fees to the higher education institution they will attend within the framework of the exchange program.
  • Orhun Exchange Program students must comply with the disciplinary rules of the higher education institution during the exchange.
  • Other scholarships and loans received by the students participating in the Orhun Exchange Program during their education period continue.
  • Sending institution will cover students' transportation expenses; the host institution will cover the boarding and lodging expenses of the future students. Except for these opportunities, students will not be paid in cash.
  • The mobility of the candidates accepted for the specified term will be evaluated according to the budget possibilities of our university in the current item.
  • Students who receive a certificate of acceptance from higher education institutions are deemed to have undertaken the Orhun Exchange Program student obligations.
  • Accommodation and subsistence fees are deducted within the scope of Orhun Exchange Program for students who are found to have not started their education at the higher education institution without an excuse despite receiving an acceptance certificate.

FACULTY MEMBER APPLICATIONS

Documents Required for Application:

Faculty Mobility covers the teaching activities that the instructors working in one higher education institution will carry out in another higher education institution.

Key Information

  • Faculty members who will apply should check the web address of the university they want to apply for, whether there is a suitable department/program for teaching mobility at the university they want to apply, and the information about the language of instruction.
  • Academic staff mobility period can be at least one week and at most one semester, for once in an academic year.
  • Academic activities of Faculty Members within the scope of Mobility cannot be less than six (6) hours per week. Courses are taken as the basis for calculating the activities performed by the faculty members in terms of hours. Academic activities such as seminars, panels or conferences are considered within this scope if the course hours do not exceed six hours per week.
  • Faculty mobility plans that do not include lecturing activities cannot be evaluated within the scope of the Exchange Program and are not accepted for exchange.
  • In the Mobility Program for Faculty Members, the activities of the faculty members are specified in detail. This plan is approved by the management rules of the faculty members' own institution and the relevant academic unit of the institution visited. The Academic Staff Mobility Plan is delivered to the Exchange Program institution coordination offices of the signatory higher education institution at least 15 days before the implementation starts. In this plan, priority is given to special situations such as the language of instruction of the higher education institution, the language in which the lecturers will teach, and the level of knowledge of this language. Priority is given to applications from faculty members who have not been involved in faculty exchange activities before.
  • Faculty members who are entitled to participate in the Exchange Program and do not participate in the exchange without an excuse cannot apply to benefit from this program within three years.
  • The mobility of the candidates accepted for the specified term will be evaluated according to the budget possibilities of our university in the current item.
  • Personal rights of faculty members participating in the Orhun Exchange Program remain at their own universities. Sending institution The transportation expenses of the faculty members; The receiving institution will cover the boarding and lodging expenses of future faculty members. No cash payments will be made outside of these possibilities.
